Legal framework

This policy is developed in compliance with Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and other related regulations on the protection of personal data in Colombia, under the supervision of the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC).

Data we collect

When you make a purchase at KaiLab, we only collect the data strictly necessary to process and deliver your order:

  • Full name.
  • WhatsApp number.
  • Email.
  • Shipping address (street, city, department).

We do not collect sensitive data as defined in Article 5 of Law 1581 of 2012, nor data from minors. We do not request identification numbers, direct financial data, or health information.

For order processing, we only share the name and delivery address with the corresponding logistics operator, to the extent strictly necessary to make the delivery.

Data retention

Our customers' personal data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations, in accordance with current Colombian regulations. Once this period has elapsed, the data is securely deleted or anonymized.

Personal Data Processing Policy

In accordance with Article 15 of Law 1581 of 2012, the owners of personal data have the following rights against the controller of the processing:

Holder's rights

  • Know: Access free of charge the personal data that KaiLab has about you.
  • Update: Request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Rectify: request the modification of data that does not correspond to reality.
  • Delete: Request the deletion of your data when you believe that it is not being processed in accordance with the law, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.
  • Revoke: withdraw at any time the authorization granted for the processing of your data, in cases where this is appropriate.
  • To be informed: to know the use that has been made of your personal data, upon request.
  • Filing complaints: go to the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC) if you believe your rights have been violated.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of the above rights, the data subject may send a request to [email protected] indicating their full name, the right they wish to exercise, and a description of their request. We will respond within a maximum of 10 business days for inquiries and 15 business days for complaints, in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012.
